Open water, unpredictable seabed conditions, tidal variation, offshore logistics and zero margin for structural error. Cemindia has been operating in these conditions since before Independence, building across every major port in the country and delivering structures that handle millions of tonnes of cargo, defend coastlines and project India's maritime power.

From the first private container terminal in India at JNPT to a 2.4km approach bridge constructed in open sea at Dahej, from India's Naval shiplift facility at Karwar to the breakwater at Vizhinjam, Cemindia's maritime portfolio is not a list of projects. It is the story of how some of India's most important ports were built.

TANGEDCO — Captive Coal Jetty

Seven point nine kilometres of offshore approach bridge, 939 marine piles and a 915m breakwater built to deliver coal to the 2×660MW Udangudi Super Critical Thermal Power Project.

Gujarat Chemical Port Limited

A 2.4km approach bridge built in open sea on concrete and steel piles connecting to berthing and mooring dolphins for vessels up to 40,000 DWT.

Birla Copper Jetty

A 210m solid cargo jetty head with a 2.4km piled trestle approach bridge, constructed in open sea for Birla Copper's port facility at Dahej.

Paradip Port Berth

Twelve berths across multiple phases - general cargo, fertilizer, multipurpose, trawler and quay extensions spanning decades of Cemindia's continuous presence at Paradip.

Vizag Deep Water Berth

One of Vizag Port Trust's most demanding structural contracts, a 282m berth for 1,50,000 DWT vessels delivered through undersea rock dredging, soil dredging and reclamation by rock bund with geotextile

Ennore LNG Terminal

A 413m quay with a 1.2km skewed approach trestle designed for crude oil pipelines and built for vessels up to 3,00,000 DWT.

Container Terminal

2026Mumbai

India's first private sector container terminal and a landmark in Indian port history. A 300m berth accommodating vessels up to 85,000 DWT, with rock bund approach and reclamation works. The project that defined what private port development in India could be.

Container Berth & Liquid Jetty

2026Gujarat

A 380m container terminal with a 14.5m draft delivered at one of India's fastest-growing private ports. Deck structure on bored cast in-situ piles with RCC superstructure and concrete decking, built to accommodate the next generation of container vessels calling at Pipavav.

Container Terminal — Yangon Port

2026Myanmar

Cemindia's international maritime footprint; a 635m container berth and 24-hectare backup yard delivered at Yangon's primary port facility. Scope included yard buildings, utilities and full electrical works. Cemindia's largest international marine contract, executed to the same standard as its Indian portfolio.

Vizhinjam Breakwater Project- Adani

2026Kerala

A 2,426m rubble mound breakwater including a 143m spur protecting the terminal basin of India's first deepwater transhipment port. Built to withstand the full force of the Arabian Sea on India's southern tip, in an ecologically sensitive coastal zone.

Padadip Port

2026Odisha

Twelve berths across multiple phases - general cargo, fertilizer, multipurpose, trawler and quay extensions spanning decades of Cemindia's continuous presence at Paradip. The Western Quay alone ran across three construction phases, making Cemindia the single most experienced contractor at one of India's busiest eastern ports.

Tuticorin Port

2026Tamil Nadu

Decades of delivery at V.O. Chidambaranar Port - two coal jetties, shallow draught berth, 7th and 9th cargo berths, offshore pump house, fishing harbour berth, external coal handling and offshore conveyor trestle foundations. Cemindia's longest continuous port relationship in southern India.
